Europe interim blog
Our survey is quite exciting. I liked playing with a new blog for use with students. I have 6 of the 16 as followers. It is fun finding pictures of the places we are going to post. Can't wait to get the calendar updated so we can let the kids access that as well.

final blog
hey Kathleen, here is my last comment. This has been very fun. I learned to set up a new blog. We are going to have our interim kids do their presentations on our blog and each will have to comment. Then we will know who actually went on and looked, yeah!

Our students were a bit negative and wanted to do it on facebook. We will be doing more with the blog eventually. We want the kids to actually put their presentations on it or at least the written part and the visuals. Then, everyone can comment. We are having trouble getting the buy in. Some have become followers, so that is fun. We are putting on pictures to get them excited about the trip at this point.

trying to comment on Jane's blog
I tried to post a comment on Jane's blog about one of my student's showing me the "giant jumping spider", 4 feet tall, etc. It turned me down flat, sad face.

I found this a bit frustrating. I am definitely not an auditory learner and listening to someone slows me down immensely. Once I quit listening and started reading, it went much better. I did not find anything relevant to math, but did find things that would work in health. We would not do extended analysis in health however. It is much more relevant to history/social studies. I think this will help me most as a senior exhibition mentor. I will be better able to direct the students toward relevant visuals.

blogging to classmates
I keep trying to post stuff, and got blocked out of comments on most peoples' blogs. It happened the first week after class. I thought it was because I was added late and would improve. But, now it is worse.

frustrated, found the first couple answers, then could find nothing, can't figure out how to move out of slides and find any actual information

I need to use this article next time I am in the computer lab with the kids.

2. Make a guide for them to use
3. Define terms for them
4. Give them examples of credibility
5. Remember: no wonder it is so hard for them to do their text notes for senior exhibition! I don't know this stuff, I doubt they do.
